Osuna's mayor, Rosario Andújar, and the company's general director Enerstar SL Osuna, Pedro Borja, have signed a cooperation agreement for construction in the municipality of a solar thermal power generation . The towers consist of central concentration and solar energy production of 50 megawatts each, which will occupy of 1,280,000 meters square and will be installed on land situated on the road to El Rubio. The planned investment for the construction of the plants is 400 million euros.
The mayor stressed the importance and scope of this project has highlighted that serves three basic purposes. The first is the environmental goal, betting on the implementation of renewable energy and the optimization of natural resources, taking advantage of the high number of hours of solar available.

For its part, the director general of Osuna Enerstar SL has identified this project as "ambitious and not without risk" and has indicated that they are currently in the development phase of the same to get the necessary permits and licenses permit to commence construction in 2011 to that in 2013 the first plant to be completed and begin operation.
